The Small Business Administration recently announced the launch of its 17-state Road Tour that connects entrepreneurs working on advanced technology to one of the country’s largest source of early stage funding – the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (SBTT) programs.
The SBIR/STTR programs provide over $3.7 billion in funding to small businesses each year in a wide variety of technology areas.
Each SBIR Road Tour stop is hosted by a local organization. Attendees will have an opportunity to hear directly from the participating federal agency program managers that administer over 5,500 new awards annually and to meet one-on-one with program decision makers.
The tour will stop in the Southeast in April ( VA, NC, SC and GA), the Midwest in June (NE, MO, IL and IN), the Rockies in August (MT, ID, UT and WY), and the South in November (MS, TX, LA, OK and AR)
