The federal government’s goal is to set-aside 23% of eligible contracting dollars to all types of small businesses. They also set specific goals for woman, veteran, disadvantaged and Hub-Zone small businesses.
According to the Small Business Dashboard, the federal government exceeded the set-aside goals for all types of small businesses, small disadvantaged businesses, and service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses. However they fell short of their goals for women-owned businesses and businesses located in a Hub-Zone.
