Whenever a federal contract is awarded that is expected to exceed $700,000 (or $1.5 million for construction) the Prime awardee must submit a Small Business Subcontracting Plan, detailing how they will provide maximum opportunities for small business subcontractors.
Every agency has its own Office of Small & Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) that works with small businesses to identify opportunities.
The Dept State’s OSDBU will hold its annual Subcontract Training Session on August 2, where Large Primes and Agency Representatives will meet one-on-one with small businesses. In this particular case the agency is interested in talking to small businesses in the following NAICS codes:
