GSA’s National Historic Lighthouse Preservation Act offers non-profits, historic preservation or community development groups the opportunity to become stewards at several historic offshore lighthouses.
If no suitable steward can be found, GSA conducts an online auction for the properties. This summer there are six offshore lighthouses being auctioned – four in New England and two in the Great Lakes.
