GSA and the Dept. of Veterans Affairs are making it easier for agency buyers to find ‘VA-Verified’ Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, when they purchase from GSA and VA Schedule contracts.
Veteran Owned and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSB/SDVOSB) that have gone through the VA’s ‘Verified Vendor’ program will be listed on the Advantage website with an icon showing this special status.
Veteran-Owned businesses that do not go through the verification process are not eligible to participate in the VA’s Veterans First Contracting Program.
The agencies hope that this new icon can increase the number of set-asides to VOSB/SDVOSB businesses, under the authority of the Veterans First Contracting Program.
