GSA and the Dept. of Veterans Affairs are teaming up to make it easier for buyers to find Veteran-owned small businesses on GSA Advantage.
Veteran-Owned and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSB/SDVOSB) who have been certified by the VA, and who are listed in the VA’s “VIP Verified Veteran Vendor” database will be listed in GSA’s VA Advantage with an icon showing this special status.
The new ‘VIP Verified Vendor’ icon will be visible at the product level on GSA’s VA Advantage, will enhance the VA’s use of VOSB and SDVOSB set-asides, and will affect all competitive VA contract actions.
Veteran-owned small business owners may self-certify their status in the SAM database, but if they don’t go through the VA’s verification process they are NOT eligible to participate in the Veterans First Contracting Program.
