The Micro-Purchase Threshold has increased for civilian agencies from $3,000 to $10,000. Purchases below this threshold do not require competition.
For purchases between $10,000 and $250,000, (the Simplified Acquisition threshold) there is a requirement for competition, but it’s simplified.
