Last month the Army Corps of Engineers posted its intention to create a Pre-Qualified Sources List for ‘horizontal construction projects’ in support of the DHS Border Infrastructure Program in California, Arizona and Texas.
The Prequalified Sources List will be used to solicit several construction contracts, with a total value of up to approximately $1.8B. Only firms on the Prequalified Sources List will be eligible to compete for these solicitations.
Infrastructure projects are likely to include a mix of border fence, patrol and access roads, lights, gates, drainage improvements, levee walls, and other miscellaneous improvements, repairs, and alterations.
An industry Day was held on July 27th.
