The Army is Looking for American-Made Tools

The Army has posted a Market Research notice, looking for information on the availability of domestic sources for certain hand and measuring tools.

Dept. of Defense regulation #225.7002-1 (known as the ‘Berry Amendment’), restricts the agency from purchasing certain items that are not produced in the United States. These items include food, clothing, fabrics, textiles, and hand or measuring tools.

The agency may request a waiver if they can’t locate a domestic source that can supply items of a satisfactory quality and a sufficient quantity, at U.S. market prices.
