The 1973 Rehabilitation Act requires that all Federal agencies make their electronic, communication and information technology products and services accessible to people with disabilities.
Under Section 508, agencies must give disabled employees and members of the public access to information that is comparable to access available to others.
If you want to do business with the Federal Government, then your products or services must be accessible as defined by these standards. When responding to a solicitation, you’ll need to show that you understand the regulations, and be able to demonstrate that your product or service complies with the Standards
