GSA has announced that it will use ‘Green Button’ technology to save energy across the federal government.
The technology allows electricity customers to download their household or building energy-use data, conduct virtual energy audits of buildings, and save costs.
In December 2013 a Presidential Memorandum set a target for federal agencies to increase their consumption of renewable energy to 20% of their total electric energy use by 2020.
