For purchases under the Micro-Purchase Threshold, agencies don’t need to get quotes or bids, and payments are generally made using a government-issued purchase card, such as GSA’s SmartPay card.
On October 1st 2015, the Micro-Purchase Threshold will increase from $3,000 to $3,500.
