GSA Launches new Formatted Product Tool for Schedules 72, 58 I, 75, 73, 51V and 70
GSA is planning to implement the Formatted Product Tool (FPT) across the Schedules program, beginning with Schedules 72 and 58I in July 2016, and continuing at roughly 2-week intervals to include schedules 75, 73, 51V and 70
The changes will cover all SINS and all products within these 6 schedules, and for Schedule 70 the changes will also cover all services.
Two Main Changes
1) Price Transparency
Contractors will be able to see exactly how their prices measure up against others companies.
Contracting Officers will use this information when they conduct price evaluations and negotiations – although they will still exercise their discretion in determining fair and reasonable pricing.
2) No More SIP Uploads!
A big benefit to schedule holders will be to eliminate the need to use the SIP program. The new tool will allow an automatic upload of products and prices, so that modifications to your catalog will be seen more quickly in Advantage.
