The Pentagon is ordering most of its approx. 400, 000 furloughed civilian employees back to work.
The decision is based on an interpretation of a law which allows the Dept. of Defense to eliminate furloughs for employees who are responsible for the morale, well-being, capabilities and readiness of service members.
