Watch Out for These B2B Scams

The Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC) free publication has lots of useful information on common scams against small businesses, including false invoices for products or services you have not ordered.

Fraudsters often target smaller, busy offices that don’t have central purchasing systems or full-time receptionists.  Help your employees identify the warning signs.  A video from the FTC explains how scammers operate.

If you have any suspicions about a possible small business scam, or if you’re getting pressured to pay for an unauthorized purchase, contact the FTC and file a complaint.
