What Are IDIQ Contracts?

Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts are awarded for a specific period of time (often ranging from 1 to 5 years), and are used when an agency can’t give an exact quantity of supplies or services they will require.

For example, an agency may award an IDIQ contract for maintenance or repair work on a specific building, and will issue task orders as needed during the contract period.

In many cases the solicitation will include minimum and maximum limits, and may also include estimates based on previous contracts.
