Could the Army use 3-D Printers to Produce Food for Soldiers?
Researchers at the Natick Soldier Research, Development and Engineering Center in Massachusetts are looking into the potential of 3D food printers to provide meals on demand in a battlefield situation, or to produce food that could be 3-D printed, processed to become shelf-stable, and then included in rations. Food could also be tailored to an individual soldier’s nutritional needs.
How Cool is That!
