Writing a Business Plan – a Road Map to Success

The SBA is currently celebrating “Write a Business Plan Month”, and encouraging you to take that first, most important step: writing your Business Plan.

There’s no standard way to create a business plan.

Some owners prefer a more traditional format that’s often requested by lenders and investors, which includes an executive summary, company description, market analysis, and financial projections.

But perhaps a simpler approach is best for you right now – a few simple charts describing your company’s value proposition, target customers, and so on.

Review the SBA’s Business Planning Guide  or get hands-on guidance from your local Small Business Development CenterWomen’s Business Center, or SCORE.
